Local Priorities Drug dealing/ drug use Message |
||
|
I wanted to provide an update regarding drug dealing / drug use, which some members around this area have highlighted as an issue of concern on the Met Engage priority survey.
MARYLAND SNT have recently received ongoing intelligence from local residents stating of continuous drug dealing taking place throughout local areas seven days a week. Due to all the times and areas this dealer/driver was involved with- it was a chance well taken by Officers when set up an Operation to deal with those involved. Vehicle was sighted when on way to specific dealing area and once parked in MANBEY ROAD E15 Officers from local SNTs rushed the vehicle involved and managed to stop the driver who was breaching his COMMUNITY PROTECTION NOTICE by PARKING/LOITERING in any part of E15 areas and was arrested. Also the dealer tried to run from the vehicle and was quickly detained by Officers inside MORRISONS Car Park where was found to be holding both class A and class B drugs as well as carrying a large zombie knife. Male was arrested for going equipped as well as for the offensive weapon. The vehicle involved was also lifted to local compound as has no INSURANCE/TAX/MOT. We are committed to tackling drug dealing wherever we find it. We will keep you updated on our efforts to do this in your area, but if you have any concerns or evidence, it is important you report this as soon as possible.
If you ever experience this issue or have information regarding an incident, please report it using our online reporting tools at https://www.met.police.uk/, speak to an operator in our Force Communications Room via our online web chat or call the non-emergency number 101.
Alternatively, you can stay 100% anonymous by contacting the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 or via their untraceable online form at crimestoppers-uk.org.
